Have you ever walked into someone’s house or office that was a mish mash of styles and colors? It has a tendency to make us unsettled and uncomfortable.
That is the effect on your interview panel when the team arrives in a variety of colors and styles that may clash and illustrate lack of cohesiveness.
I am not suggesting that interview teams wear matching outfits like some boy band. However, it is a good idea to have them dress in the same color palette. The two primary ones I suggest are steely or earthy. Steely includes blue, black, gray and white. Earthy includes brown, beige, hunter green, or burgundy.
By dressing in the same color family you make the presentation more visually appealing to the selection panel and visually demonstrate cohesiveness.
