Do you remember the details of a conversation you had last week? Probably not.
The audiences you present to will not remember everything you say. Therefore it is imperative that you decide what are the most important elements you want them to retain.
Questions to ask yourself as you prepare your presentation:
* What is my thesis? If you could sum up the message in a single sentence, what would it be?
* If your audience remembers nothing else, what the three sub-messages do you want to stick?
By answering these questions you will clarify what needs to be emphasized verbally, visually and vocally in the presentation.
